I know that many of you have been wondering (as have I) , what has been going on with La Mafia during all this time that we've been hearing almost nothing from them. Well after seeing their incredible performance on Saturday, I can tell you that one thing they have obviously been doing (in addition to working on their new CD "Contigo" which will be out soon) is REHEARSING, AND PLANNING! The show was one of the best I've ever seen. A flawless, very polished performance. Everything was perfect from the wardrobe (and hair LOL) , to the lighting , their movement and interaction on stage, and of course, their awesome sound. They now have 10 people on stage, having added a second backup singer and a second guitarist. And the music!!!! They opened the show with "Soy Tan Feliz", and played a great mix of hits, reaching WAY back to the past , up through the present. The entire crowd was on it's feet at the end of the show, and they closed the show with a sorta Latin Rock song (that will be on their new CD) that just blew us away. |

Not only did Oscar look adorable and sound awesome, he was in rare form (with his little jokes LOL), and he has some new material. So watch out if you're on the front row, because you might get picked on. He also talked about the new CD and warned everyone that it is going to be a change. He pointed out that music has to change with the times just like everything else and asked people if they were wearing the same clothes and hairstyles they wore in the 70's and 80's. So when we want to walk down memory lane, we still have our CD's, and I know that we can expect to hear plenty of the "oldies" in their shows. I for one am ready to see them take their music to the next level. I can't wait for the new CD!!!!!!! |
