When the Tyler date was added to  La Mafia's  schedule,  I just had to make the short trip  (100 miles in Texas is a short trip LOL).   Even though I knew I was going to see them a week later in Houston,  I  couldn't  miss  their  first show of 2001.

I  didn't  know  what  to  expect , since Tyler is a small town,  and  I was very surprised to see that the place was so humongous that even with several hundred people there it still looked empty. I didn't think it would be possible to fill it, but by the time LA MAFIA came on  I looked back and the place was packed.

They opened the show with "Sabor A La Fiesta" (from the new CD),which was a great song to get the crowd going and went right into "Nuesta Cancion"  (one of my favorites)..  They  played  a  great mix of their  hits including  some oldies like  "Yo Quiero Ser"  and  "Alas De Papel"  and  mixed  in  some  of the songs from the new CD which went over big with the  crowd,  especially the "Rock Cumbia" ,  "Morir Sonañdo"  when Marion went into  the guitar solo. I'm telling you that boy can play!!!    It  was another  awesome  high  energy  show with lots of  variety  and the guys moving around all over the stage. They closed the show with "Me Estoy Enamorando" with the crowd  singing along. Then Oscar left the stage.  I  was  just  going  to say hello to all  the  guys and get out of the way,   but  when  Oscar reemerged with posters to pass out I was getting crushed, so I fought my way out with my  BIG PURSE.    But I did get a chance to talk to all the guys after the autograph session.

Keep going, there are LOTS more pictures (and less text LOL) on the following pages.
